Accounting and Financial Reporting Analyst
The RMTA is looking for an experienced accounting professional to conduct and coordinate professional accounting work involving the research, analysis, preparation, and maintenance of financial information for the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR), annual budget, and other financial reports. Position will support information requests from internal and external users through the analysis of financial and non-financial data from various software systems. This position reports to the Director of Finance.
This role will perform month-end and year-end financial closing procedures, including preparation of journal entries and identification of variances. In addition, will assist with development, interpretation, and implementation of accounting related policies and procedures.
Requirements include: Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA or candidate strongly preferred; 2-3 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in financial statement preparation and analysis; demonstrated skills with spreadsheet and accounting software systems. Governmental accounting (GASB) experience strongly preferred.

The Richmond Metropolitan Transportation Authority seeks a Maintenance Worker to complete various maintenance-related assignments at RMTA facilities (toll plaza buildings, tunnels and tollbooths). This includes: painting, maintaining landscaping, shrubbery, cutting grass, degreasing toll lanes and canopies, removing snow/ice, making routine repairs, installing drywall, filling pot holes, and other preventative maintenance.
REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to work in both inside and outside environmental conditions; have general knowledge of building cleaning practices, supplies and equipment, maintenance, carpentry, plumbing and painting. Mechanical aptitude and general knowledge of and experience using manual and gasoline powered lawn equipment; electric floor cleaning equipment; common hand tools. Ability to lift heavy weights (up to 75 lbs.) routinely. Must be available to report to work upon call-in during inclement weather or for special projects. Must have high school diploma or equivalent, valid VA driver’s license, and minimum 2 yrs maintenance exp. Employment is contingent upon acceptable background and reference checks, and passing pre-employment drug screen.

SENIOR TOLL COLLECTION ATTENDANT
The RMTA seeks a Senior Toll Collection Attendant to replace absent Toll Collection Attendants for scheduled & unscheduled absences; assist Toll Supervisors with replenishment of TCA change funds, operation and monitoring of toll collection equipment, and maintenance of orderly plaza operations and traffic flow. Also substitutes for absent Toll Supervisors to include: open and close booths; count trays at the end of a shift; issue and receive money trays, prepare bank sheets; ensure the security of toll revenues and the facility; monitor area for snow and ice, spreading sand or chemicals when needed. NOTE: Work is subject to outside environmental conditions.
REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or equivalent; experience in handling money and accounting for money received and disbursed; demonstrated and consistent delivery of excellent customer service; proficient in computer applications; ability to work in both inside and outside environmental conditions; ability to work well with others in a team environment. Supervisory experience; prefer a minimum of two years exp.
