Engineer
The
Richmond Metropolitan Authority, the organization that
operates metropolitan Richmond toll facilities, parking
decks, Main Street Station, and the Diamond baseball
stadium, is recruiting for its Engineer. The engineer is
responsible for preliminary engineering, ensuring
conformance with contract documents, construction monitoring
and project acceptance as well as supervising the
performance of all maintenance related field activities and
managing the maintenance and Main Street Station staff.
Also serves as a liaison for maintenance issues at the
Diamond.
The ideal
candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in civil or
structural engineering with three years construction
inspection experience (preferably in the transportation
field). A minimum of eighteen months experience on projects
under the direction of VDOT, or similar organization, is
required. 5+ years of supervisory experience in roadway or
bridge design or in inspection or materials testing is
preferred. Working knowledge of facilities management,
ability to use Microsoft office word processing and
spreadsheet software, and excellent interpersonal,
technical, planning and organizing skills are also
required. The Professional Engineer (PE) certification is
highly desired. Must possess a valid Virginia driver’s
license and satisfactory driving record. Candidates will
undergo criminal history investigation and drug screening as
a condition of employment.

beginning salary range is $58,805 - $66,857. Start date
